My guinea pig is making funny noises. I know that there is something wrong. Every few minutes he kinda starts breathing really heavy and squeeking and then he'll make a really high pitched squeek and finally become less tense for a few more minutes. He's been doing this for a week now. I'm not sure if he's in pain(it looks painful) I have no idea what it is.
he looks like he's pushing something. but i havent seen many changes in his behavior except that he doesnt seem as energetic as he usually is.
please any advice or insight would be helpful. thanks!

I would take him to the vet.but he may have a vitamin C definciancy.I had a guinea pig that had that once.just put a little Tang in his water bottle.but I would definitely take it to a vet.
Maybe he is an asthmatic Guinea Pig. Or maybe he is dying. I would make sure he gets enough water and hold him a long time so if he is dying you have said a good good-bye. God bless you and your guinea pig.

UHM, take him to the vet!! It could be anything as easy as a cold, or he could have a whole in his lungs which makes it hard for him to breath, and the squeak from the air passing through, etc. We aren't vets, and no one can say what's wrong over the internet. Take him to the vet immidiatly!
A trip to the vet is in order for your piggie!! Could be seizures.
First go to the vet just to be sure. did you get a new pet or did you put your pet in a new spot. changes like this can upset your guinea pig. and if so it would be best to put your guinea pig back. also my guinea pig did this a lot too so it might be natural. and he might be doing his business if he curls it is defent. my guinea pig had a bathroom problem and died from it. but i still know what i'm talking about. not sure about the breathing part. but i do know mine squeeks alot. not sure why either. but now he'll do it when he sees us taking of his water bottle, it's kind of a panicky over excited sound. when he does it, see what he did before the squeeky and after it. perhaps you can then see on paper what might be causing this. perhaps you are doing something outside the cage he doesnt like. oo and i read online they dont like drafts. (some live outside in rabbit habitats). perhaps he's cold! and then got a cold. make sure he's not under a vent. they are very sensitive.

Ahh. Why do people get pets that can't take of them financially? There is no way of telling what is wrong with out seeing the piggie. It could be any thing from just wheeking (verbalizing, wanting food or something). to being in pain with kidney or bladder stones, or impaction, or a bowel infection or block.
It could be complications from not having proper foods, to many of bad foods. Only a qualified vet can diagnose what is wrong.
could be gpig asthma or seizures but try to take him to the vet asap it could be a fatal disease or not im not sure try this website
