yeah it could die from it. i have one but it has never had it. take it to a vet and they may be able to help her. if not then i don't know what else to say but may be good-bye to the hamster. i'm very sorry
They will usually have diarreha all around thier tail. Mine died from it!! yes there will be poo on the sawdust.
Wet tail is diarrhea in hamsters, caused by stress. They very rarely live after having it, I am so sorry. I lost a hamster that way. The best thing to do is to keep their cage clean but other than that leave them be. It can take time for them to pass, but if you give them a very clean and calm environment, your hamster could live. Good luck!
