my hamster had babies?

they are a a week old today. okay i got some answers varying when i should hold them. my answers were usually when they were 2 or 3 weeks old. if i hold my hamsters after to and a half weeks will there be a problem. it sounds about right to me! they r dwarf hamsters, and are dwarfs. they are super cute. they have a tiny bit of fur now, and are starting to kind of look like hamsters. oh, p.s. i know they r dwarfs but i don't know wut kind. they are small, tanish, brownish, and have a stripe down their back. do u know wut kind they r? p.s.s. any extra advice and websites would also be very helpful, thankyou!

Congrats! I wouldn't hold the babies at all unless needed until they are partially weened off mom. You can touch them if you reallly want as soon as they have fur. But do not ever take them out of the cage. Instead of cleaning the whole cage, just scoop out the soiled areas until the babies are older. Once they open thier eyes, you can put some rice krispies in the cage for the little babies to munch on. Good luck!
Be careful because I had hamsters and once they had a litter the litter had two litters and so forth so you might wanna keep a tab on the boys and girls. As for when to pick them up after they get there full coat of fur
Trust me you don't want to do that, you should ask a vet when it would be safe to hold the babies but DON'T leave them all together. You have to separate the boys and girls when they are old enough to leave thier mother. If you don't, hampsters can multiply like crazy and before you know it your house will be over run with hampsters. I had a hampster once and she had 13 babies. Plus you will need to have a lot of money because even though they are small they will still eventually need to see a vet. I don't know if you are going to want the up keep of a houseful of hampsters. It's not a good idea. However if you plan to breed and sell the babies, sell one litter and then breed the parents again and sell that litter and so on.
my hamster had babies it was tough though mom died giving birth :( Dwarf hamster babies develop a bit faster than Syrian babies do. They should have full fur by about one week of age and their eyes open by 12 days. At three weeks, they are ready to leave Mom and should be separated by sex.
If your male and female hamsters are in a cage together, be warned, the parents can mate again as soon as 24 hours after giving birth, so you can expect another litter to arrive just as the previous litter is leaving! and its fine to hold at 2 1/2 weeks.
Baby hamsters can be held at 14 days. You have one more week to go. Soft cooked veggies for the babies and some boiled chicken (organtic) and soy milk because full grown hamsters are lactose intolerant. Whole wheat bred is also good. My goodness have you come to the right person , I have the perfect site for you below!

Hamsters cannot be held before 15 day because they will lose thier own scent and the mother will have no clue they are hers and she will eat them.

Good luck!

PS breeding relatives is so so bad. if you want to breed again got some nice purebread hamsters from a breeder and a breeder only. They will have birth defects otherwise.

LISTEN TO THE PS!!
