My guinea pig..help? Sugesstions?

My guinea pig does her business in the same spot in her cage just about every time. Every night I have to clean her cage out a little, and spread a little bit of fresh bedding in her bathroom spot. Every night I come in there there's just a big mound of crap in the same exact spot. How can I keep her from doing this? It's kinda like she HAS to go in that spot by her bowls every time, no where else. And I'm just tired of scooping the big mound of terds every night. I hope my question is understandable and makes sense.not sure if it does.

Guinea-pigs are naturally very clean animals. I work at a rescue, where we have just removed over 100 guinea-pigs from somebody as they had no food, water and their bedding was appalling. Because they were never cleaned out, they go all over the place. This has resulted us to have to clean fifty hutches every other day. We would be very grateful if they did go in one place, but they don't!

She wants to keep the rest of her bedding clean, and is just being a very sensible guinea-pig. There is not anything you can do to stop this behaviour. Sorry.
I would rather have the pig do her business in one spot all the time because it makes it easier on you, rather than have to search for it all the time. I think your pig is very clean and picky and that's a good thing. If you are worried about a health issue see the vet, but I think shes fine.
that is her spot. be glad she has picked one spot!
there is nothing you can do to make her stop that. She has picked her spot and thats that. My guinea does the same thing. one area every time.

if you want to make your life easier (and to save you money on bedding) scoop it maybe every week.
She is being extreamly considerate towards you. She is making your job of keeping her cage clean a breeze. She has decided on her "bathroom" and that is where she goes. If she did not do this, you would have to clean THE WHOLE CAGE every day to keep the smell down. You are VERY lucky.
easier..is to buy a corner litter box for small animals, put it in that particular spot, and you only have to empty the box when durty. You should consider yourself lucky, a guinea pig is a very clean animal, and to keep his cage clean, he will always go to the bathroom at the same place.good luck
all guinea pigs do that its to keep her home (cage) clean, my guinea pigs did that too.
Here's a few excellent websites on guinea pigs, hope they give you some good info -

For our guinea pigs, we got them a little corner litter box and filled it with kitty litter and it was easy to clean out the piggy poo and pee. I mean, you still have to clean out the whole cage pretty often, but this can make it a little easier.
