my kids hampster?

my kids hampster is making noises, like sounds.it sounds like a monkey. or a bird..are hampsters supposed to make sounds..what does it mean??

did u get him recently? they usually make noise out of pain or fear. if u just got him u need to let him get used to his area before trying to handle him. he may be making a noise to say ---leave me alone! any other symptoms? is there only 1? if it is a syrian please make sure there is only one in a cage.

I haven never known a hampster to make a noise unless it was in"distress". you should have a vet look at it.

Well that means that its very uncomfortable on were its living.Or your children are just hurting it.The only time it does that is when its hurt or doesn't like his/her cage area.

hamsters did make sound like that. maybe they are fighting, not well, painful, feeling threatened. just like human scream when sick or pain.

are your kids bullying them? or the hamsters are fighting?
