sweetie you really need to give us more info. to why you want to take your horse to the fair as there are many different reasons to go to the fair. you cannot just take your horse in and ride around, if you are competing are you ready to go to fair..i was a 4H leader and also am a horse trainer and give riding lessons and have kids that are not ready to go to fair , them and their horse need more work, so if this is what your parents are concerned about, you need to listen, i have seen many wrecks with kids at fairs that were not ready to go..4H is a good place to learn about what you need to be doing and they have leaders there to help you along. good luck
Well, I guess you will have to listen to your parents.
you should ask the fair and i think it should go if it is trained.
what fair? what will you be doing? we don't know enough to resonably answer this question
if your parents dont want you to take your horse you shouldnt.. your parents likely paid for the horse and its food and care so therefore they are the ones who say if it can go.. plus they are your parents so they are the ones to say if YOU should go.

fairs can be scarey so if your horse is at all nervous it can be a disaster - your parents or your riding instructor should be with you
Well it depends on how your horse reacts to new horses and sound if it doesn't bother him then i will say its safe
Yeah, there really is not enough information to know what to tell you. If you are interested in showing a horse at a fair farm show, then there are measures that can be taken to do so safely, but if you are just talking about taking your horse to a fair just to go, then I agree, it probably is a bad idea to take a horse into a place with lights, people and who knows what else if the horse is not experienced in it.

I bet as frustrating as it is, your parents are probably right. If you are looking to show at a fair, you probably can sway their decision by having a trainer or responsible adult accompany you and work it out that way.
do you mean safe for your horse or safe for you? if it's for your horse they ussally have guards or whatch people or something. if it's for you fairs are safe if your horse is not a spazz and your with a good group or trainer ect.. i would join a 4h horse group if you aren't already in one. they're really fun. but i would learn how to do all the stuff BEFORE you go because it's embarissing to get there and not know anything. just talk to your parents about why you want to go and how it will help you and your horse.
Why would you take your horse to a fair? Are you going to enter a show or something? You can not just bring a horse to the fair for the heck of it. No fair, no matter what fair, will let you just brong a horse to it.
I don't really know a lot of information to give you a full answer but I'll give you one based on what little information I have.

Listen to your parents. They obviously have their reasons.

A horse who is not used to an environment that has a lot of people and commotion will likely balk in a fair environment. There are loud, screaming kids, paper being blown by the wind, startling noises, and just too much going on. Your horse could freak out and make a run for the nearest exit, possibly trampling several people on the way, which would most likely lead to a law suit.a situation I'm fairly sure your parents would like to avoid!
well #1 they are your parents and they have a reason or they would not care

  1. maybe they see your horse as a potentioal threat to people around her and herself. horses are unpredictable and always will be until they figure out how to make robot horses.
